Indeed, Alaska is like nothing else I've ever experienced. The vastness, the wildness, the underlying sense that I do not have what it takes to survive here without the help of modern technology--particularly this far north. It fills me with awe and gratitude.
And after this, the PanAmerican! I love the feeling of uncertainty as we look to the road ahead. 💜
Oh I know that feeling. I was in Alaska till late September a few years back. And just as the calendar was about to change to October, the cold set in and the snow started to fall. And I knew it was time to skedaddle. ;)
I’m SOOOO excited vicariously for your PanAmerican trip. What a dream?!
PS. Just saw your fantastic video about the mobile spa in a spot I love on Instagram. What fun!
That mobile sauna day was such a treat! The company that rents that unit out saw our rig camped there on the river and contacted us. They had an opening in their schedule and asked if they could gift us a few hours of use in exchange for a video review. Yes please and thank you. 😎
Now I have that song stuck in my head! :) Great story this week. Steve and I spent a month in Seward in October of 1993. We saw autumn for a week. Thanks for sharing your stories. I love reading them.
We LOVED our time in Seward a couple weeks ago. Did you SEE the mobile sauna video? 👀 We are so excited about seeing autumn up here--in August and September. 😂
Glad you are here as part of my support crew! We all grow when we hunker down and hold hands under the surface, right? 😊
Arctic Ocean - yay! Great article!
A friend in church stood up to share that he was giving up being right for Lent. Truly an example to be followed!
I love this so much!
You’re doing the trip I’ve long dreamed of. Can’t wait to hear all about it.
And isn’t Alaska grand?!?!
