I could feel the fear in your voice and recalled it in my body when facing similar situations. This is it. This is the end! It’s quite an experience. I’m grateful you made it through and… there is a lot to be said for walking ahead as well as having a spotter on the ground instead of the passenger seat.

Yes, Journey, we are concluding the same about having a spotter on the ground instead of riding shotgun. Fortunately, we are learning a lot about all of this very quickly. Proper air pressure and technique have already made a huge world of difference in my experience. We have been driving another similar road (not quite as bad, but still featuring several pretty technical spots) yesterday and today, only one day after coming down from the one in this post, and my experience has already been completely different. Everything is now compared to the fear and perception of imminent peril of THAT ONE--and nothing else has come close.
