Loved both parts of this post. Jim’s back in the hospital. Long story. Please pray for us.

I'm glad that guy wasn't better at hiding what a creep he was! Props to you guys for following your guts and getting space from him.

Yeah, he sure didn't play it cool or put on a good front.

I’m glad you honored your spidey sense about that guy, and that you’re traveling with such a wise group. Other than that it certainly sounds idyllic!

Yes, other than that one hour, it has been amazing. Interesting that the only "trouble" we've run into was from a white American. The Mexicans we've encountered have been nothing but friendly and helpful.

Honestly, I skipped the creepy parts of this. Sorry it happened to you. I like the group camper shot - all of them are glowing!!! :D

Okay, wow. A little scary but I'm glad you guys are with a caravan! It sounds both wonderful and a little unnerving. Enjoy!

We are sold on traveling in a caravan! We feel more secure and we love the sense of community. Everyone shares food, experience, and wisdom--plus communal meals are so great!

What about the lady?? Can’t someone report that? She could be being held against her will. There is likely a reason you all got the heebie-jeebies and I hope somebody follows up with that part. Glad you are safe.

We were in a situation that felt unsafe, so unfortunately, we needed to leave right then. We have no way to check up on or report her situation, as we did not witness any crime and a fancy pick-up truck driven by a gringo is a very common vehicle. I pray she is safe.
